Kent Corporation, North Royalton, OH celebrated its 50^th year of business by setting a new company record for capital equipment sales. This record was achieved through above average sales in almost all product lines and included a record number of Floop vertical accumulator sales.  The Floop was originally designed in 1971 and was the machine that started Kent Corporation as a company.  The Floop was a game changer in the tube & pipe industry due to its small in-line footprint.  Compared to larger footprint horizontal accumulators it offers advantages in storage and allows operators to run with smaller size coils.  The Floop is available for a wide variety of applications from .020” – .250” strip and a wide range of material widths.

With all the success of the Floop vertical accumulator, Kent has also received several orders in the past year for its horizontal style accumulators, double uncoilers, and strip end welders.  These orders included several hands-free complete entry lines that limit the amount of operator interaction needed to feed the accumulator.  This success has positioned Kent as a top tier supplier of coil handling and strip processing equipment throughout the world.

As its 51^st year begins Kent continues to focus on being a single source supplier to the tube mill industry.  Kent has also grown in its 50-year history to not only be a sought-after OEM of tube manufacturing equipment but also a trusted partner of eight European companies.
