Based in Spinea, Italy just outside Venice, MAKE is a world leader in robotic slitting tool automation. A subsidiary of MTM Group, MAKE focuses on automation that manages slitting tool storage, handling, inspection, and cleaning. Coming in 2 ‘standard’ layouts, the STAHL robot is designed around customer specification and space to remove physical interaction with the tooling, increasing worker safety and reducing errors. The system stores tooling in a dust free cabin, inspects edges for wear, cleans tools, and builds up the next stack for production. This last step can be done directly from a customer’s ERP system with the right options.
